Belive it or not, but the piece of art above was created by an Elephant. Yep, you read correctly, an elephant. The Asian Elephant Art & Conservation Project (AEACP) is a non-profit organization dedicated to saving the diminishing number of Asian elephants left on our planet through its work with domesticated elephants. The AEACP raises funds through donations and the sale of artwork created by elephants in order to fulfill its mission.

This just made me laugh out loud and scream "I want one": Quik Pod: Self-Portrait Dynamo. I agree with Productdose it's kind of ridiculous, kind of ingenious. It's supposed to be the first handheld extendable tripod, the Quik Pod's tip simply screws into the bottom of your camera, which you can then set for a timed shot and hold out in front of you by the device's handle. Oh, Ella, how much fun we could have with this!
I was just browsing the Containter Store site and this Tie Caddy cought my eye. It helps prevent ties from wrinkling and keeps them neat and organized. A single necktie is neatly rolled up in the clear plastic tube and is easy to remove when it's time to get dressed. I know, I know, I am sure you can exist without one, but then again, I am all about gadgety stuff. (sigh)
D3o Labs has come up with a new foam that is soft in general use, but gets rigid when impacted. Apparently this material was used in Olympic Slalom ski suits to offer crash protection. Ribcap, a Swiss company has licensed D3o for knit caps collection. The smart foam is sewn into them, which makes them a 'soft helmet'. Excellent!
I would have loved to experience the "Falling Garden", by swiss artists Gerda Steiner and Joerg Lenzlinger.
