“Kareena Zerefos is an artist and freelance illustrator who lives and works in Sydney, Australia. With a background in graphic design, completing a Bachelor of Design at the College of Fine Arts, her personal creative work began to move away from graphics becoming more illustrative by the end of 2005.
Conceptually based around memories, dreams and nostalgia; Kareena creates a bittersweet, slightly unsettling feeling in her work by exploring themes of isolation and escapism. She works using a variety of media, including pencil, gouache and ink, and often combines traditional drawing with digital graphics.”

I worked with them a year and a half back on a television commercial and they are really talented.
“The intention for this project was to make sound visible. As there is already a variety of ways in which sounds can be seen (equalizers, sub-titles, etc.), my aim was to produce a device where that representation of sound would be a physical one. I therefore used the sewing machine as the basis for the project as I feel it is synonymous with industry, and making physical products. Due to limitations in my computer programming skills this model of a stereo/sewing machine is a prototype of how I imagined the actual product would look.”

There are some nice impromptu moments captured both on the street and in numerous other locations in the portfolio of Photographer Daniel Weiss. It is a little like watching life happen from behind the lense.
I have been seeing links to Your Majesty’s latest reel on several design blogs lately but only just stumbled upon it at Vimeo.
You can also view it in higher quality at the Your Majesty website.
“This video uses a mathematical formula based upon an image Escher did (The Print Gallery), known in these days as the “Droste Effect”. It was made entirely using a Digital Reflex Camera, Canon’s Mark III which captures up to 115 continuous pictures, at 10 fps.”
You can also watch the making of the video here.
